A word of advise..... if you love something.... don't add up how much money you put into it haha. Corey

Also keep in mind alot of this stuff was very unnecessary. I just figured if i was going to put any amount of money into it i might as well go balls out. Corey

Alright well.... i had to make and run nearly a complete new harness. Used all large gauge wire so my all of my lights are crazzzy bright now. I got to take him around for a 15 minute break in drive and the friggin' alternator burned out on me. Brand new from Cip1... i bought that cheap 55amp Chinese one thinking it wouldn't make a difference. Looks like I've got another week to wait in order to drive it. I didn't beat on it at all because i ended up using stock rockers rather than anything solid because its all i had and the scat 1:25's wouldn't line up. With a lightened flywheel and ported heads i didn't want to snap the shafts in half. From what i can tell there is a good amount of increase in torque and power. I still need to set the carbs up for the winter now though so we'll see what happens. Corey

Yea... its in the car. Running great. Has about 10k miles on it since the build. I'd say its close to 90hp.... I dont want to spend the $200 to dyno it. To be honest I would never build the engine again. The small power gain compared to the cost. I could have just tossed 94mm pistons on a stock bottom end and stock heads with better results. The next build is going to be a 2.0L turbo :-D

The oil pump is far too big to be needed. The combo comes with a 32mm pump which is WAY overkill. Produces higher oil pressure which in return puts the oil temps to 230degrees at 65mph when it should be 190degrees. I've also heard the bolt on-spin on set ups also preheat oil which isn't too good. The oil pump is so big you have to shim your front pully and put a few dents in you pully tin. I would recommend getting a standard 26mm oil pump and shoving a full flow cover on it... a few lines to an external oil filter. Much easier and much more effective. Corey

Corey yeah i was a little skeptical of the larger pump, i think i'll just go with a full flow cover

My dampening rubber bolt broke in half, and I recall seeing something about K&N selling good quality pieces.
Can I purchase the dampening bolt on its own? If so, where? Thanks
